ANZAC Long Weekend

South of Sydney rise the green hills and dales of Kangaroo Valley, awash with birdlife like Log Runners, Large-billed and Yellow-throated Scrubwrens, Wonga Pigeons, Catbirds & perhaps a Lyrebird: all at our first stop - Bob's property (our Ornithologist) where will spend the first few hours.

The afternoon should be a delightful drive through the valley spotting raptors, water birds and maybe an albatross as we head down the coast. We will end the day with sunset over Jervis Bay.

Second day of the this Long Weekend will find us scouring for the Eastern Bristlebird in the heath of the Botanic Gardens Booderoo NP Jervis Bay. And the final Monday morning we'll be cruising on an early boat down the Currumbene Creek and out onto Jervis Bay looking for Terns, late waders, Sea Eagles, egrets and other little beauties.

Refreshed and relaxed after a lovely Long ANZAC Weekend in the heart of what is the real Australia, with lots of Birds and Camaraderie memories, overiding the week ahead.
