"Iomar" via The WatagansSaturday 7 August 2010 Ornithologist: Alan Morris "Iomar" is the most beautiful cattle property in the Lower Hunter Valley. Heavily treed with blossoms attracting the Swift Parrots and lots of other honeyeaters, it is always a treat to visit this wonderful site. We will travel through The Watagan Mountains to arrive there with our first stop to birdwatch at Ourimbah State Forest and then onto Watagan State Forest. This is a much requested birding destination, so come and see why. Departs Bathurst Street - 7.30am, return 5.30pm approx Killara - 8.00am, return 5.00pm approx

And then to Blue Gum Swamp at the edge of the Blue Mountains National Park which boasts Red-browed Treecreeper as well as White-throated. Bound to be plenty to learn and enjoy. Please Note : there is a short(200 metres) steep section on the firetrail. Medium level of mobility required. Hawkesbury RiverSaturday 25 September 2010 Ornithologist: Edwin Vella Last year we visited a wonderful private property in Pittown looking for crakes and although only Keith Brandwood saw the shy creature, the other birds, the lagoon and the surrounding hills were magnificent so again we go to have a better look. And depending on where the water is we will visit the waders that have appeared after a season away with ducks making a good show we hope this year. You'll just never know unless you go... Mt Keira & The Sea Bridge Run HomeSaturday 9 October 2010 Ornithologist: Bob Ashford The beautiful Wollongong Botanic Gardens are our first stop and it is an enthusiastic part of Sydney surrounds - the gardeners are avid birdwatchers and always keen to show us the latest finds. These have included nesting holes of the pardalote, Green Catbirds and any number of Rufous Fantails recently. With these under our belts we will away to the dizzy heights of Mt Keira where Satin Bowerbirds play whist we lunch. Homeward bound along the gorgeous coastline crossing The Sea Bridge built after landslide kept the road closed for a couple of years. It is a marvel worth seeing over an icecream! Quite a day of birding, sights and camaraderie. Departs Macquarie Street - 8.00am, return 6.00pm approx Killara - 7.30am, return 6.30pm approx
