This tour gives you a chance to experience Snowdrift; Wyperfild's largest white sand hills, ancient Mungo's Walls of China and Gluepot's mallee magic - all with birds to break your heart.

The floor of dry Mungo Lake sizzles with Southern Whiteface, Crimson Chats and no doubt Orange Chats as well as White-browed Babblers, Banded Lapwings, Horsefields Bronze Cuckoo and Yellow-throated Miners. Add to this evidence of Aboriginal occupation 60,000 years ago in the startling crescent shaped lunette and you have the receipe for a breathtaking day out in remote NSW.
The massive Snowdrift sand dune of Wyperfield leads you over to woodlands of Pine-Buloke in Victoria's 3rd largest National Park. Regent and Mulga Parrots, Blue Bonnet and Mallee Ringneck, and gorgeous Major Mitchell Cockatoo are just some of the parrots to be seen.

And the fabulous Gluepot Reserve; Birds Australia's pride and joy, part of the largest block of intact mallee left in eastern Australia. Preserving populations of 11 nationally and 15 regionally threatened species such as the Mallee Fowl, Red-lored Whistlers, Black-eared Miner and presently, Scaret-chested Parrot. Many of the trees are hundreds of years old with numerous hollows supporting a concentration of of bird life.

We will be travelling to Leeton for our first night's stay with Binya State Forest and Fivebough Swamp on our run sheet making it easy to find 110 birds on the first day alone. Then the Hay Wetlands in striking contrast to the Plain in and out of the township. Raptors will be calling our stops on the way to 2 nights in Balranald, a night in Pinaroo and then the last two in Wakerie. Adelaide drop off sees the end of our tour on Day 7, either in town to stay on visiting friends and relatives, or out to the airport for an easy trip home.
The tour price includes all meals and accommodation from Day 1 Morning Tea to Breakfast on Day 7.
